I must admit, I’m frustrated – along with everyone else in the nation. I wish everyone would stop trying to find someone to blame and DO something. At times it seems that so many politicians are too busy pointing fingers because they know that how they respond to this disaster could get them the next presidency or political position. Why must we always think this way? Because we’re human…there are very few people in the end who will think of this without thinking of how it will get them ahead. And that is sad when so many people are in desperate need. Something has to be done – with as many people as we help in the world, why is it taking so long to respond to our OWN disaster?
Hundreds of these people have this question all over the country – and yet there don’t seem to be answers – and there’s a ton of various media being reported so that you don’t know who to look to or what to listen to…too much information overload in a way – and so people simply feel helpless. I know I do. *Sigh* I want to do more, but what CAN be done?
I know The Salvation Army is doing what it can, but it doesn’t seem to be enough. Money is not an issue…I’ve seen enough money donated to my office in the past two days to feed a multitude…so what’s the issue?
My heart breaks for those people and I simply want to pray…God please help them.
