Wow, just a short update of what's been going on here - lots of noise and efforts are being made to get involved with getting the materials to the South - and we've been told we are to have nothing to do wtih them because of the lack of space and the madhouse it will create...and that they won't let the people go in. I don't understand all of this, but the anarchy of everyone flooding down to help makes sense to me, also.
So I've been doing what I can on this front - it's rough, because everything feels like my hands are tied, but still, I do what I can. And this place has been a MADHOUSE - and we're operating with three people today ... *sigh* I hate to say this, but I hope they get rid of our business admin. after all this crap - I need help and they won't give me anyone reliable to do it.
Anyway, enough griping about work. Jess and company are going down for the marathon tomorrow. Amazing - I can't believe she's going to do it with her jacked up knee, but I'm proud of her at the same time. I know God will help her...and please Lord, protect her.
I was going to stay and work late, but I don't feel like being here anymore, especially since I have to be here tomorrow. Think I'll take my note cards home and write some thank you notes while I'm at home watching a movie or something...I don't know...I need to buy a bike sometime tonight, too. Gas is just too expensive to keep driving. I'm not going anywhere if I can help it.
