too much mt. dew

okay, i've had way too much mt. dew tonight. i did well up until the food time after the parking lot worship was over - and then i had two cans. and some really awesome bbq...thanks to rebecca.

so i'm still up when i should be sleeping getting ready to lead worship at church in the morning. getting up is going to be ROUGH tomorrow.

the cool weather is starting to set in a bit during the evenings, and it reminds me of football weather. for those of you who don't know, i used to be a high school choral director (4 years) - loved the choir and music part, but the job was just too stressful for my personality. i ran myself into the ground - worked from 7:30 am to 11:00 pm sometimes...especially during musical season - that pushed me to about 12:00 am.

but as soon as the church grows more, i'll be doing another choir there - but it's black gospel - i love that. and i get to do some of the songs i've written too...mine tend to be more choir songs than anything. we're going to start work on our 3rd cd come winter time when we can't go out and play outside anymore. we hope to do another Night Of Worship next year sometime...last one we ended up having bout 500 or 600 people. i'm only telling you this because i'm a prideful little twit who wants the world to know i sing. i'm pathetic *grin*...

i must say, i'm thinking of starting a new story - and doing it as a blog. i love writing fiction, but i'd like to try my hand at doing something like francine rivers or frank peretti does. the purely romance stuff is bad news for me right now. i really think god is trying to pull me away from that kind of stuff.

i'm going to be singing in my cousin's wedding. still looking for a good song, but not sure what yet. i should choose something obnoxious like "you light up my life" or "love shack" from the b-52's *snicker*, or better yet, "you're the one that i want" - i discussed this with beth the other day over email. i could dress up like that one old "america's funniest home videos" where one side of me is the male outfit and the other side is the female outfit and then sing olivia newton john's part AND john travolta's part. *shudder* i HATE grease...that musical should have been burned and NEVER revived...

i love musical theater. i wanted to be on broadway once...god never gave the okay to go to new york and starve while waiting tables and going to auditions. :)

and my precious kitties...i have three cats now, and i'll be posting pictures of them soon. i need to get some to beth...we both have kitties...she just has dogs and a husband to take care of too *grin*. one would think i have an obsession with food...they're named oreo, pepper, and mango. mango is the only boy, and he's still a kitten, oh but he is BEAUTIFUL...reminds me of my now deceased childhood kitty that lived to be 21 years old...whitney. name her 'princess whitney' after whitney houston. don't ask. i don't think you'd believe the explanation anyway...

*yawn* could i be getting sleepy??

yeah, it's about time for me to go to bed...but i wanted to be able to post some stuff so people wouldn't think i had dropped off the face of the earth. this is a pretty cool way for everyone to keep up with me...
