Livin' It Up at the L.E.E.

I haven't posted for a while so I thought I'd give a little update - I'm bustin' my tail end at Lee University for my Master's of Music: Music Education degree - everything worked out, Nick and I are still dating :D and I'm meeting some really cool people down here. But I still miss my friends in the 'burg (mad props to Christy because she's just so cool) and definitely miss Bill and Tammy who just moved to Louisiana - Bill wants to fly helicopters so he's going to a school down there. I'm getting to talk to Beth every once in a while on email, but she's lookin' at tiki # II in the coming year.

Ate at Macaroni Grill tonight for the first time - AMAZING Italian food. Found out yesterday that I have a freakin' recital on Tuesday of next week - and I thank the Lord I have pieces that I simply played for the fun of it randomly that I can use...because that short of notice when the woman isn't even suggesting pieces for me to play is ridiculous...but I won't rant and rave about that one yet.

I've gotten back into that old stupid habit of being the insecure sarah in front of people...constantly apologetic...not being confident on the podium...that kind of stupid stuff. I feel the need to explain everything that I do wrong - as usual, I'm sure it's a pride thing. I'd rather point out my mistakes than have someone else point them out to me.

Anyway - won't go too much more into that right now, either - went to go fill my car up with gas (*grrr* prices are up 4 cents) and on the way back found a poor cat stationed on the side of the road...she wouldn't move and I knew something was wrong - backed up and she was bloodied...she had to have been hit by a car. I could give a HUGE tirade about the driving around here, but I won't get into that right now, either.

Because I am avoiding work...I have a ton of stuff to be studying and to be ready for...yet I've done none of it.

Lord, you gotta knock some sense into me...
